OpenRules.com → OpenRules.ai

After 23 years in business, our website, OpenRules.com, has accumulated a lot of material, and it is not always easy for first-time visitors to quickly find what matters to them. So, we decided to take advantage of the latest AI capabilities to give OpenRules.com a modern makeover as OpenRules.ai.

A new landing page shows a visitor right away four important points:

Only then does an interested user look deeper into the OpenRules Platform capabilities and all available Resources. There are powerful and simple search capabilities across all pages, along with a Reference Guide.

We keep improving the new website and would appreciate it if you could check it out and let us know if you have any more suggestions.

Rules and Constraints Working Together

We published an article that makes the case that rules are excellent for expressing business logic, constraints are excellent for defining and searching the space of feasible solutions, and integrating both within a single decision model can make optimization simultaneously powerful and accessible to business users.

The article describes the evolution of this idea in OpenRules. An earlier Rule Solver transformed rule-based models into constraint-satisfaction problems, but practical limitations often forced rule and constraint portions into separate decision services. The redesigned 2026 OpenRules Rule Solver introduces an expression language that allows known and constrained/unknown variables, ordinary rules, global constraints, and constrained expressions to coexist directly in traditional decision tables. Notes from DecisionCAMP 2026

DecisionCAMP 2026 went into history a week ago. From August 25 to 28, we had four productive days filled with interesting presentations and lively discussions. All presentation slides and recordings are available in the Program or directly on our YouTube Channel.

Many attendees of DecisionCAMP 2026 tell me it was a very informative and successful event, with a strong emphasis on the practical use of the latest advances in Decision Intelligence and AI. Moderating the event, I listened attentively to every presentation but had no time to take notes. I will not analyze all the presentations here; instead, I will briefly share my general impressions and comment on what stood out. Link
