No, “EI” does not stand for another new flavor of AI.

It stands for Expert Intelligence.

Your EI Assistant is an OpenRules expert who takes your business problem description and converts it into a working, executable, and AI-ready decision model, using proven OpenRules modeling, debugging, testing, and deployment capabilities.

How does it work?

1. Describe your problem. Fill out our online form with a plain-English description of your business logic and provide one or more examples of problem inputs and the expected outputs (operational decisions).

2. Receive a working decision model. OpenRules develops and tests the model for you. It includes:

• A business-friendly, DMN-like representation of your business logic that can be viewed as a decision diagram, debugged, and executed with your original or new inputs.

• Deployment to your preferred environment, including AWS Lambda, Microsoft Azure, or another supported deployment option.

• A REST interface, allowing you to test your decision service immediately, for example, with Postman, without installing OpenRules locally.

• AI-ready access, allowing you to interact with and test your decision service in plain English using an LLM such as ChatGPT or Claude, while the actual operational decisions are produced by your executable decision model.

And the best part?

The entire development process is free.

A working initial decision model is usually delivered within one to three days after we receive a sufficiently complete problem description.

Starting with a working decision model allows you to concentrate on the OpenRules features that you actually need for your specific decision-making problem.
